The current free UK household trial is aimed at homes with rooftop solar, battery storage, a smart meter and a dynamic electricity tariff. Each setup is checked before onboarding. An EV is optional.

Yes, compatible equipment can connect directly. Home Assistant is another connection route. The available route and controls depend on your inverter, battery, charger and the access offered by their manufacturer.

Octopus Agile is a focus for SolarMind’s half-hourly energy planning. SolarMind brings prices together with solar forecasts and your home’s needs. Device controls and tariff compatibility are confirmed for each household before the trial starts.

A standard 24-hour day contains 48 half-hour periods. SolarMind uses half-hourly planning to consider when to use, store, charge or export energy. It is an operating interval, not proof of higher savings than another system.

The whole-home plan is designed to take account of your EV departure time alongside solar generation and battery needs. Available EV controls depend on charger or vehicle compatibility, which is checked during onboarding.

We currently offer a free UK household trial, subject to compatibility and availability. The trial’s duration, service conditions and any arrangements after the trial are agreed during onboarding. This is not a promise of a permanently free service.

No. The form is an enquiry about your home. Submitting it does not automatically connect equipment or activate control. Connection options, permissions and trial arrangements are agreed separately.

There is no guaranteed saving. Results depend on your equipment, tariff, weather and energy use. The homepage preview is illustrative, and this website does not yet publish a verified household case study or a like-for-like performance comparison with another optimiser.

Tell us about any existing supplier or manufacturer automation before onboarding. Two services issuing battery commands can conflict. Responsibility for device control needs to be agreed for your setup.

Ask for the service privacy information before connecting an inverter or sharing household energy data, including what is collected, who can access it and how to disconnect. Do not send passwords or API keys through the public trial enquiry form.
